| So I'll start with a native animal that is very easy to find because it moves so slowly -- the Banana Slug (Banana Namekuji). It is the second largest slug in the world, up to 25cm long. It is found in the litter of the redwood forest, and it is fond of mushrooms. It is also the mascot for the local university, UCSC. |
