May 2, 2001 Mt.Yatsugatake, Nagano Pref. Cherry blossoms in the Fujimi Highlands

Cherry blossoms in the Fujimi Highlands at the southern foot of Mt.Yatsugatake. Though many trees are broken off due to the heavy snow that fell three years ago and this winter or are damaged by wild animals such as deer, beautiful cherry blossoms have finally come out as usual. Being surrounded by the snow capped Mt.Yatsugatake and the south part of Japan Alps, we are enjoying the best season of the year.
