April 18, 2001 Katsushika-Ku, Tokyo Cherry blossoms in Higashi-Mizumoto

Yae-zakura, double flowering cherry trees in the center of the downtown area Shibamata in Katsushika, which became famous for the movie "Futen-no tora-san". Once the entire cheery tree here died natural deaths, and they newly planted yoshino-zakura. Though they are not mature, flowers come out every year and delight the eyes of visitors.
