| 2pm. The Ooshima-sakura on the "Sakura-no-sato" or cherry blossom village in Oomuro mountain, Izu-kogen. It is a pure white flower with rather large petals. The "Sakura-no-sato" is located at the foot of the Oomuro mountain. There are 3,000 cherry trees and 35 varieties. Right now Kan-zakura and Ooshima-sakura are in their full glory. Since the village is in the upper reaches of Izu-kogen, the cherry blossoms bloom a little late. |
