During this autumn excursion season, the set bus tour of tangerine picking and tinged leaves picking is one of the popular events here. This time, I went a bit further to the Korankei's Asuke to take some pictures of koyo there. I saw the leaves of Korankei being lit up at night for the first time since I started living near the Hamana Lake three years ago. During weekend, the roads from Toyota and Okazaki becomes heavily congested. On the last day of the 'light-up' this year, I headed for Asuke worrying it might be a little late for koyo. But probably because of the extraordinary weather the vivid colours of leaves were still more than satisfactory to be enjoyed, although the peak has passed. An illusory world was created when the mountain filled with tall tinged trees of about 40 years of age was lit up. It gives you this strange feeling that your feet are becoming detached from the ground when you see the forest gilt in yellowish brown emerges vaguely in the dark.
