This is an unpaved road at the back of my house. The forest at the left is about the size of 10m by 100m, and is forming a bank of the pond. Black pines were dominant during my childhood, but today they are replaced by evergreen trees such as camphor, oak, soyogo, and by some deciduous trees such as lacquer trees, nettle trees and Japanese oak. The ones that are tinged are probably lacquer and nettle trees. On the right is the bank of a rice paddy. It is a beautiful scene with a lot of different weeds growing thickly around. I'd call it a 'Walled Garden'! Actually, it was my secret spot where I can enjoy its change over the seasons...
