October 1, 2000. Autumn in the east of Hokkaido Obihiro, Hokaido. I traveled in the east of Hokkaido. It was bit early to enjoy autumn colors though they said that the peak of colored leaves had finished on top of Mt. Daisetsu.

	At the shore of Lake Saroma in the north of Abashiri, I felt something was lacking.		"Sango-so" Many tourists came and see them.
	This is a cliff of Soun-kyo that includes columns of rock. It looked as if it was going to collapse. There are also waterfalls near here. You can't miss here when you visit Hokkaido.		Mt. Daisen viewed from Mikuni Pass. Leaves of the trees have not changed colors yet. You have to be very careful not to hit deer when driving here in this season.
