December 24, 1999 Mokujiki Buddha in temple Toukou Inagawa town Inagawa town, Hyougo prefecture. Mokujiki is a commandment of Shingon sect, which prohibits eating 5 cereals and meat, but only allows vegetables. High priests who have complete the ascetic practices are called Mokujiki saint The saint Akemitsu Mokujiki was 90 years old when he arrived in Inagawa. He sculpted 33 images of Buddha in 3 months while he stayed. There are 14 of them in the temple of Toukouji.
