September 13, 1999. Nature Center. Shimotsuma City is the habitat of the national butterfly, Oomurasaki, as those is the know are aware. From a distance, the Nature Center has the shape of an Oomurasaki butterfly that is landing. Up close, you can recognize its antennae and its eyes. It is a very unique building. On its side, a larva is painted. There is a small aquarium and an observatory in the building and many people visit on Sunday. Junko Yaguchi
